Our hotel is equipped with an authentic Finnish style sauna on the second floor of the main building. You can enjoy an automatic temperature regulation system (every 10 minutes) in the separated sauna or a self-temperature regulation system on the private sauna

LOUNGE
We have a lounge on the second floor of the main building where you can enjoy soft and alcohol drink as much as you want.
That’s the perfect place to get a drink after the sauna, since electric outlet are available you can also use this space for teleworking, etc.
Hakodate information magazines that are useful for sightseeing are displayed, so please stop before exploring Hakodate.

AREA INFORMATION
GORYOKAKU PARK
The park got the name “Goryokaku” because of its pentagonal star-shaped exterior with five “Bastions” on the end of each branch. Goryokaku was Japanʼs first western-style fortress, and was completed in 1864 after seven years of construction. He was opened as “Goryokaku Park” in 1914, then designated by is current name “Goryokaku Ruins” in 1952 by the national government. This place loved by the local, is popular for walking and running. The 1,540 Cherry tree offer a spectacular view during the cherry blossom season, and give a very charming atmosphere for all the people gathering here to view the flower.

GORYOKAKU TOWER
Located right next to the remains of Goryokaku Park, this tower has a diamond shaped observatory deck (there is a fee to enter the observation deck). The current tower (second generation) opened in April 2006 and is 107 m tall (lightning rod height). From the observation deck, you can enjoy views of Mt Hakodate, Tsugaru strait (which is a strait between Honshu and Hokkaido), the Yokotsu mountain range and the star shape of Goryokaku historic site. The is an exhibition space where you can learn more about the history of Goryokaku, a “see-through floor” where you can see below through reinforced glass, as well as a shop and a cafe. During the cherry blossom season, you can enjoy the views of the 1,540 Somei Yoshino cherry tree. In winter, 2,000 illuminations add new color to the star shape park, who then become “Goryokaku Star Dream”.
